Dr. C. S. Nworu is an astute research scientist, a consultant pharmacologist and pharmacist, a dedicated scholar and a passionate teacher. He graduated best in the Bachelor of Pharmacy class of 1998/1999 at University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Dr. C.S. Nworu completed a Master’s degree (2002) and a PhD (2007) in Pharmacology & Toxicology form the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. His outstanding performance earned him a Faculty position in the same institution where he tutors and groom young pharmacists and research scientists.  Dr. Nworu is very resourceful and has made a lot of impact in his field. His interest has been on the safety and efficacy of natural products, natural products as biological response modifiers, immunomodulation, vaccine adjuvants research, and natural products in infectious diseases. Dr. Nworu is a prolific writer and has authored over 90 research papers in high impact and reputable international journals. He has authored or co-authored several books and contributed many chapters in professional books. Dr. C.S. Nworu is a mentor to many young research scientists at postgraduate level and has produced a PhD and many master’s degree graduates. In recognition of the quality of his research and his outstanding academic contributions and excellence, Dr. Nworu has been awarded many national and international scholarships, honours and recognitions, including, but not limited to, the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) Undergraduate Scholarship Award, Stephen Oluwole Awokoya Foundation for Science Education Award for postgraduate studies, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s (AvH) Postdoctoral   Research Fellowship in Germany and the Fulbright Postdoctoral Research Scholar Award by the United States Government.  Dr. Nworu is currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology, and the Associate Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is also a visiting lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State.  Dr. C. S. Nworu is well-travelled and speaks Igbo, English and German languages.
