Theophine C. Akunne is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher. He has obtained the following degrees; Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Master’s degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology and a Doctoral degree in Natural Products Pharmacology, with interest in medicinal plants with neuropharmacological, anticancer and antidiabetic effects. Currently his research interest is in the activities and mechanisms of natural phytoconstituents with anticonvulsant, anticancer and antidiabetic properties. He is an IBRO alumnus (University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa).
